Carrier Warranty Registration

Follow the instructions below to register your warranty.

Phase 1: Gather Required Information

Before you start the online form, locate these details on your equipment on your contractor’s invoice:

  • Model Number: Usually found on a silver rating plate on the unit.
  • Serial Number: A 10-digit alphanumeric code located on the same rating plate.
  • Installation Date: The day the technician completed the work.
  • Dealer/Contractor Info: Name, phone number, and address of the company that installed it.
  • Homeowner Info: Name, address, and email where you want the confirmation sent.

Tip: If you have a split system (e.g., a furnace and an outdoor AC), you will need the serial numbers for each piece of equipment.

Phase 2: Online Registration Steps

  1. Visit the Registration Site: Go to productregistration.carrier.com.
  2. Select “Homeowner”: Choose the homeowner option to begin.
  3. Step 1 (Equipment Details): Enter your Serial Number, Model Number, and Installation Date. Click “Next.”
  4. Step 2 (Personal Info): Provide your name and address where the equipment is installed.
  5. Step 3 (Dealer Info): Search for your dealer by name or phone number. If they aren’t listed, you can usually check a box to enter their details manually.
  6. Step 4 (Warranty Selection): Carrier may offer a “Consumer Choice” option. You typically choose between:
    1. 10-Year Parts Only (Standard enhanced warranty).
    2. 5-Year Parts + 3-Year Labor (Only available through participating dealers).
  7. Step 5 (Review & Submit): Double-check that all serial numbers are correct. Submit the form.

Phase 3: Post-Registration

Save the Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email. Print this out and staple it to your original invoice.

Check Your Status: You can return to the Carrier website at any time and use the “Warranty Lookup” tool with your serial number to verify your coverage.
